Privacy Policy
What we collect
We collect only what the app needs to do its job.
Account information
- Email address — to create your account and sign you in.
- Account role — host or cleaner — to route you to the right screens.
- Optional display name — only if you choose to add one.
Job content
- Photos — before / after / issue photos taken during a clean. Stored in your Supabase Storage bucket and visible only to you and the host or cleaner you're working with.
- Location — when you capture a photo, we read your device's location once and attach it to that photo, as dispute protection. We don't track your location otherwise.
- Checklist notes, issue reports, property addresses, access codes, supply notes — content you type into the app while working a job.
Device information
- Push notification token — to send you job alerts. Tied to your account, not shared with anyone.
What we don't collect
- No crash logs, performance data, analytics events, or product-usage telemetry. There is no third-party analytics SDK in this app — verifiable in the public source code's
package.json. - No access to your contacts, calendar (other than the iCal URLs you paste yourself), photo library beyond what you explicitly attach, microphone, or anything not listed above.
- No advertising identifiers. The app contains no ads.
How we use your information
- To run the app: signing you in, showing the right screens for your role, sending push notifications about jobs.
- To produce the proof-of-clean record: storing the photos, location stamps, checklists, and approvals that make up each job's stamped receipt.
- To enable payouts: tracking which jobs were approved by which host, so cleaners and hosts can both see what was earned and paid.
That's it. We don't use your data for anything else.
Who we share it with
- Supabase, Inc. — our cloud database, authentication, and storage provider. Data is stored under row-level security policies that restrict access to your own account and the people you work with.
- Expo / Apple Push Notification Service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications. Only the push token (not your email, photos, or location) flows through these services.
We don't share your data with marketers, advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors. We don't sell it. We don't trade it.
Where your data lives
- Postgres database — Supabase, hosted in the United States.
- Photos and files — Supabase Storage, hosted in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and job records as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we delete your account row and all associated job records, photos, and notes within 30 days.
Your rights
- Access — you can see all your data inside the app at any time.
- Export — email help@cleansync.app and we'll send a copy of your account data within 7 days.
- Deletion — open the app → Settings → Sign out, then email help@cleansync.app. We'll process within 30 days.
- Correction — edit your own data inside the app, or email us if you can't.
Children
CleanSync is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email help@cleansync.app and we'll remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a material way (new data types collected, new third parties), we'll notify you in-app and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
